Okowa, Fayose, Igbinedion’s Children Win PDP Tickets
As Uduaghan’s Daughter, Anehih’s Son Lost Out
It was mixed feelings for children of prominent chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Sunday during the party’s House of Assembly and House of Representatives primaries held in several states ahead of the 2023 general elections.
While children of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa; former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, and Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, secured PDP’s tickets for next year’s general polls, son of former Minister of Works, late Tony Anenih and daughter of former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan failed to get the party’s tickets as they lost to their opponents.
Okowa’s daughter Marilyn Okowa-Daramola, clinched the Ika North East ticket for Delta State House of Assembly, while Fayose’s son, Joju and Igbinedion’s daughter, Omosede won the PDP tickets for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Ovia Federal Constituency, respectively to represent their constituents in the House of Representatives in the 10th National Assembly.

It was a defeat story for Uduaghan’s daughter, Orode, who lost the opportunity to represent Warri North Constituency of Delta State House of Assembly to Fred Martins.
Anenih’s son, Ose, was defeated by Lewis Osobase in the PDP primaries for the Esan North-East and Esan South-East Federal Constituency of Edo State during the House of Representatives primaries.
In Ethiope West Federal Constituency, Ms. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, the daughter of former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, tied with Ben Igbakpa, who is staging a comeback to the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
