Lagos Will Produce Nigeria’s Next President – Adamu Dibal

The Chairman of the Lagos All Progressives Congress Governorship Election Committee, Adamu Dibal, has said that there is a possibility for Lagos State to produce the successor of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Recall that the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a foremost contender in the 2023 presidential election.

Dibal said this while delivering his open address at the venue of the Lagos APC governorship primary on Thursday.

He also stated that Lagosians believe in the ruling party while warning other parties to stay off the state.

He said, “We are here to renew the mandate of the APC government in Lagos state. We bring greetings from our national secretariat. Lagos is an APC state, no party should near there at all.

“Lagos is, indeed, very important to APC because most likely, the president of 2023 will come from Lagos state. This exercise is important, no matter how long we are here, be patient with us because this is what the cconstitution mandates.”

He appreciated the efforts of the participants.

Meanwhile, the two other APC governorship aspirants, Wale Oluwo and Olorunfemi Mustapha are yet to arrive for the event as at the time of filing this report. The event has commenced and delegates accreditation is ongoing.

Present at the primary election are the governor and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Oluranti Adebule; and former Deputy Governor, Otunba Femi Pedro among others.
