Former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 general elections.

Obi emerged as Labour Party presidential candidate for the February 25, 2023 election after his main challenger, Prof. Pat Utomi, a political economist, stepped down for him.

With his emergence as Labour Party flagbearer, Obi will contest against the PDP candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other presidential candidates in next year’s election.
