Okada Ban: Security Operatives Patrol Lagos Roads As Enforcement Commences Tomorrow

Security operatives gathered at Lagos Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday at 9:00am on Tuesday, they paraded the premises in preparation for the full enforcement of commercial motorcycles’ ban in Lagos tomorrow.

The security operatives involved in the preparation of enforcing the ban on commercial motorcycles and patrolled Lagos Roads include the Nigeria Police Force, Rapid Respond Squad (RRS), LASTMA, LNSC, Nigerian Army, Road Safety Corp, Civil Defence, among others.

Some of the major places patrolled by the security operatives include Eti-Osa LGA, Ikeja, Apapa, Surulere, Victoria Island, Ikoyi/Obalende, among others.

During the patrol, Lagosians were warned to be weary of patronising Okada in Lagos, stating that whoever disobeys the order by the State government will have themselves to blame.

Reports gathered by AN24TV during the coverage revealed that some of the eyewitness who were standing by the road side, hailed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for taking a drastic step in curbing the okada menace in the state.
