Real Madrid Completes Rudiger Signing

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger, as he joins the club on a free transfer.

The announcement was made by both Chelsea and Real Madrid via their social media handles on Thursday.

It was also confirmed that the defender penned a four-year deal with Madrid, tying him down to the Los Blancos until the summer of 2026.

According to multiple reports the defender is set to earn a salary around £150,000 a week, as well as a hefty signing on fee after opting to join Madrid despite offers from Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Rudiger’s arrival also means that Madrid now have, at least on paper, the best defence in Europe, joining David Alaba, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy and Nacho.
