South-West APC Leaders Meet Tinubu, Osinbajo, Fayemi, Others Over Presidential Aspirations

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West region have met with the party’s presidential aspirants from the zone. 

The meeting took place ahead of the APC special convention for the election of the party’s 11q candidate for the 2023 poll.

The South-West APC leaders met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and other four presidential aspirants in Abuja during a meeting convened by the interim National Chairman of APC and former Governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande and ex-Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba.

Other presidential aspirants at the meeting are former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole; Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate, Senator Ajayi Boroffice; former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and fiery Lagos cleric, Pastor Tunde Bakare.

The meeting held behind closed door at the Osoba’s Abuja residence was attended by APC governors in South-West – Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun).

Other key stakeholders of APC at the meeting which started on Saturday and snowballed into Sunday morning are former governors and current ministers from the South-West zone, who are APC members.
