Bandits Invade Abuja Estate, Abduct Residents

Barely 24 hours after gunmen attacked a church in Owo, Ondo State, a large number of armed men suspected to be bandits, have reportedly attacked Genuine Estate after EFAB Queens in Gwarinpa, an estate in the Federal Capital Territory.

The attack was carried out in the early hours of Monday with several residents reportedly kidnapped by the bandits who were armed with machetes, daggers, and cutlasses

An eyewitness said that they outnumbered and overpowered the security guards and invaded some houses in the estate.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh said there is an unconfirmed incident in the Galadimawa area of the FCT and not Gwarinpa.

She said it was not yet confirmed if the incident was a case of kidnap or robbery.

Adeh promised to find out the details as soon as possible.
