BREAKING: Supreme Court Approves Use Of Hijab In Schools

Published

on

The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of the usage of Hijab by Muslims pupils in public primary and secondary schools in Lagos State.

The apex court in his ruling ended over five years of legal battles between the state government and two students, Asiyat AbdulKareem and Moriam Oyeniyi, as well as the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN).

Although the judgement was delivered by the apex court on a case brought before it from Lagos, however, it would be binding on all schools within the territory of Nigeria.
