Former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mustapha Balogun is dead.

He died on Thursday evening in a Lagos hospital at the age of 74.

The death of the retired IGP was confirmed by a reliable source who spoke to AN24 on Thursday.

“Tafa Balogun is dead. He died today in an hospital in Lagos. His death has been confirmed by one of my former boss,” the source told AN24

Mustapha Balogun, the 21st Inspector-General of Police, was born on August 8, 1947 at Ila-Orangun in Osun State.
