Court Rejects Abba Kyari Bail Request

The Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected the bail request of the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Abba Kyari.

Kyari is on trial for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking offences, in a suit filed against him by the Federal Government.

In his ruling, Justice Emeka Nwite said that the reasons adduced for the bail request had been addressed in the earlier application, which was denied.

The judge subsequently fixed October 19, 20, and 21 for resumption of the trial.
