Igbos, Not Invaders, Perpetrating Evil In Anambra – Soludo
The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo has squashed claims that some invaders are behind the continuous killings and insecurity in the Southeast region of the country, especially in his state.
According to the governor, most of the people that have been apprehended for committing heinous crimes in the state are Igbos.
The governor, who spoke on Channels TV’s Politics Today, also noted that the state’s wealth is the reason it has been a target for kidnappers.
He claimed that contrary to claims, those perpetrating criminalities are known and not unknown as being reported in the media.

“They are not unknown gunmen, they are unknown to the extent that maybe are not caught immediately.
“Let me be clear about it: 100% of the people we have caught are Igbo. Nobody is invading from somewhere. It is 100% Igbo on Igbo.
“Anambra receives its share of influx of Igbo from other South-East States and other parts of Nigeria. The first set of people we caught are Igbos from the South-East States and not from Anambra (State).
“But as we went on, we discovered that a whole lot of the youth are joining them, we are dealing with them equally,” Soludo said.
