Lagos PPRO Warns Against Exposing Valuables In Traffic

Insecurity has been one of the major issues giving citizens concern for years in Nigeria,it has always been a topic and it Comes out one way or the other,from series of Kidnaps,to unknown gun men massacres and many more.

 

    We will be focusing of one of the issues that has been occurring here in Lagos;Robberies in Lagos traffic.

  This has been giving people concern and the also spreading fear in the hearts of car owners and motorists in Lagos.

    Traffic robbers operate in places with consistent traffic buildups like osbourn road,Lagos Ibadan expressway way,third mainland Bridge,Ikoyi link bridge,oshodi.

  Car owners are always in fear when it’s getting late    As they most likely would get into traffic due to the fact that most people close from work within the same period of time and These robbers are always lurking around.it was usually at night but now people are being robbed in traffic in broad day light and No one would get down to help because they also don’t want to get robbed.

 

    These criminals also come armed,they either rob you at gun point,or the break your side window collecting your phones and values .

Shedding light on the topic, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos state command SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stressed that its officers are working tirelessly to end traffic robbery in the state.

Hundeyin noted that DPOs and Area Commanders in the state have been mandated to patrol Lagos to provide maximum security in all highways.

He, however, warned road users not to expose their valuables while in traffic as it attracts the attention of hoodlums.

Furthermore, Hundeyin said after investigation into some cases labelled to have happened in Lagos, it was discovered that some set of people post unverified news on the internet which turn out to be false, to discredit Lagos Command
