Rally: Obi’s Supporters Barred From Converging At Lekki Toll Gate
Supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, have been barred from converging at the Lekki toll gate for their #Obidatti23 Forward Ever Rally billed to hold on October 1, 2022.
The order was given by the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday.
Justice Daniel Osiagor clarified that his judgment does not stop the party’s supporters from holding a rally in the state but that the rally procession cannot converge at the Lekki toll gate.

He, however, noted that the procession can pass through the toll gate to access Falomo Bridge and other venues at which the rally plans to meet.
The judge directed the Inspector-General of Police and the Lagos State Police Commissioner to ensure compliance with the order.
