Christmas: NCWS Urges Christians To Uphold Spirit Of Season

The National Council of Women Societies Nigeria (NCWS), has urged Nigerians to uphold the spirit of the season as they celebrate Christmas.
The National President of NCWS, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau, stated this in her Christmas message to Nigerians in Abuja.
Lau said that the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ was important to Christians because his birth brought peace and goodwill to all mankind.
She urged Christians to show love to one another as the bible commanded.
“As we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us consider the life of Jesus Christ and strive to emulate his selflessness.
”His ability to maintain peace even in the face of conflict and the love for all are values we should emulate.
”He was not limited by the circumstances of his birth, therefore setting for us an example of the power of faith, providing an assurance that we can be better than our current circumstances,” she said.

Lau said Nigerians, particularly the women, should have reasons to celebrate the season, in spite of the present challenges facing everyone.
”We should have cause to celebrate Christmas, irrespective of the situation. We should appreciate God for the life and health for us and our families.
”We should keep hope alive and as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us be committed to the peace and goodwill towards all as he teaches us.
”We should strive to be better person than we are today, combining our faith with the exemplary life of Jesus Christ,” she said.
Lau also sent her gratitude to all the supporters of women in the year 2022 and look forward for a greater support in the new year.
”May the yuletide season fill your life with eternal joy and never ending happiness,” she said.
