Tottenham’s Conte Undergoes Emergency Surgery



Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Antonio Conte, has been given a leave of absence by the club as he is set to undergo emergency surgery today to remove his gallbladder.

Following the abdominal pain, Conte was diagnosed with Cholecystitis and is to have his gallbladder removed immediately.

This was confirmed by the club on Wednesday morning.

The former Chelsea manager has been diagnosed with cholecystitis – a condition that causes swelling and redness of the gallbladder.

The statement reads, “Antonio Conte recently became unwell with severe abdominal pain.

“Following a diagnosis of cholecystitis, he will be undergoing surgery to remove his gallbladder today and will return following a period of recuperation. Everyone at the Club wishes him well.”
