Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has suspended his campaign activities ahead of the elections following the new naira notes and fuel crisis.

The governor made the announcement on Friday.

The suspension is coming a few hours after protests rocked Ibadan over the scarcity of new naira notes and petroleum.

Makinde said he suspended his campaign activities over the unending fuel and new naira-note crisis.

He added that the suspension is in solidarity with the people over anti-people economy policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government.
