Lagos Decides: Hon. Azeez Yusuf Commends INEC For Improved Service Delivery
…promises to give back to the society
Legal practitioner and one of the leading Philanthropists in Agege, Barrister Azeez Yusuf, popularly known as Nino, on Saturday commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for a job well done in the conduct of the governorship and Sate Assembly elections in most parts of the country, particularly in Lagos State.
Speaking with AfricaNews24 (AN24.net), Hon. Yusuf (Nino Agege), reacted to the level of comportment of voters and improvement by the INEC during the governorship and State Assembly elections in Agege, Lagos State.
Recall that the governorship and State Assembly elections earlier scheduled for March 11th, 2023 was rescheduled to March 18th, in other to allow the commission to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in various parts of the country in the conduct of the elections.
Reacting to the impact of INEC in ensuring a credible, free and fair elections, Yusuf said that the commission has been doing its constitutional expected job and that the introduction of BVAS by the commission is a proof that there is still hope for the nation and that there is no need for people to lament any longer.
“BVAS has really improved the level of election irregularities in the country and I believe INEC is doing very great, and from my observation regarding the conduct of the elections in my area, the commission is doing great.”
Speaking on his passion in adding value to the society, Hon. Yusuf said that he is committed to doing more for the people, both home and abroad.
His words partly read, “I believe to whom much is given much is expected of him and no matter where we go, home is always home.
“I’ve achieved a lots both home and abroad, most especially in this locality before expanding or going for a greener pasture. As a Philanthropist, giving back to the society that has made me is still my major concern and that is the reason I’m committed to doing more for the society.
“I’m into various businesses abroad which include hospitality, security, printing, just to mention few.
“I believe so much in humanity first. If you look around you will observe that many people are suffering, hungry not only in Nigeria alone.
“For me, no one should go to bed with hunger”, he added. In ensuring peace, solidarity and security of humanity, Hon Azeez Yusuf advised friends and associates to try their best by contributing their quota in the development of our country even as Nigeria conclude election activities in various parts of the country.
His words, “As I used to tell friends and associates that it doesn’t take much to touch lives, if they see anyone who is hungry, they can give whatever they have.
“If you do your own part and I do my own part, the world will be a better place for us and nobody will be left behind.”
Speaking on his expectation from people, he said that there is need for people to contribute their own quota in the development and emergence of a new Nigeria.
The barrister at law, Azeez who is doing excellently in Gambia today, believes the challenges facing our nation is enormous and the only way to combat it is for all hands to be on deck.
