NTA: Rufai Oseni Accuses NBC Of Double Standard

Arise Television host, Rufai Oseni, has condemned the Nigeria Broadcast Commission over what it described as “double standard.”
This allegation was levelled against the commission on Thursday via the controversial host’s Twitter handle.
Oseni mocked NBC for not sanctioning the Nigeria Television Authority for airing the illegal declaration of Adamawa gubernatorial election result on Sunday.
Recall that Hudu Yunusa, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Adamawa State, illegally declared Binani winner of the State election on Sunday.

The illegal declaration was covered by the NTA, a government-owned media outfit.
However, the electoral commission swiftly denounced the purported declaration and suspended the collation of results of the supplementary election.
Meanwhile, Oseni claimed if it was another station, the NBC would have sanctioned such station the next day.
He wrote, “About a week, yet we have heard no statement from the NBC on the NTA incident, if it was another station. The next day they would have sanctioned such station. Double standards!”
