Police Arraign Lagos Teenager For Theft
The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned a 19-year-old boy, Muiz Adeleye, whose address is unknown, for allegedly attempting to steal from a provision shop.
It was learnt that the defendant, who was arraigned on Friday for theft, committed the offence on April 14 at about 2 am at No 7 Olubi Street in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecution Counsel, DSP Gbemileke Agoi, told the court that the store the defendant attempted to steal from belongs to one Mrs Oshikoya Adefunke, who is the complainant.

He told the court that crime committed by Adeleye contravenes the provisions of Section 406 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.B Olagbegi-Adelabu, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 with a surety in like sum.
Olagbegi-Adelabu ordered that the address of the surety must be verified.
She adjourned the case until May 18 for mention.
