BREAKING: Akpabio Wins Senate Presidency Election
The senator representing Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial zone, Godswill Akpabio, has been elected as President of the Senate.
The All Progressives Congress defeated a former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, to win the seat.
Akpabio is the former Governor of Akwa Ibom and he served as a Minister for Niger Delta Affairs from 2019 to 2022.
