Tinubu Meets With Oba of Benin In Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, received His Royal Majesty Omon’Oba N’Edo Uku’Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, Oba of Benin, in the State House.

The president received the monarch and members of his delegation at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa around 1 pm.

The delegation included the Egiagbai of Ekperi, the Imah of Somorika, the Onojie of Ewato and the Ojuromi of Uromi as well as top Benin Chiefs.

As at the time of filing this report the reason for the visit was not made known, however, there are suggestions that the meeting is geared at formally congratulating the new president on his assumption of office.

Also, it is suggested that the visit of the monarch is to discuss with the president about issues concerning the Nigerian people.
