JUST IN: At Last, Senate Releases Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominees   

After 59 days of waiting, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday announced 28-man ministerial nominees of President Bola Tinubu.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila presented Tinubu’s ministerial list through correspondence to the Senate on Thursday afternoon during the plenary session of the Red Chamber.

Gbajabiamila, the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, presented the much-awaited list of the ministerial nominees to Akpabio at exactly 01:19pm after he was ushered into the Senate.

Senator Akpabio read the ministerial list with 28 nominees on the floor of the Senate.

Former Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), David Umahi (Ebonyi), Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna) and Muhammed Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa), as well as  Special Adviser to the President on Monetary Policy, Mr. Olawale Edun, his counterpart on Communication, Strategy and Special Duties, Mr. Dele Alake and Special Adviser to the President on Culture and Entertainment Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa made the list.

Others are former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Adebayo Adelabu; Acting National Chairman of APC, Senator Abubakar Kyari; APC Women Leader of APC, Dr. (Mrs.) Betta Edu; former Minister of Health, Ali Pate; the only APC female presidential aspirant, Uju Kenedy Ohaneye and legal luminary, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), among others.
