The Senate on Tuesday screened former Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, for ministerial appointment under President Bola Tinubu‘s administration.
Umahi who is a serving Senator, appeared before his colleagues on Tuesday as lawmakers resumed screening ministerial nominees sent to them by President Tinubu through his Chief of Service, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Before reading through his Curriculum Vitae (VC), Umahi thanked President Tinubu for considering him fit to be screened for a ministerial appointment.

He also thanked the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and his colleague at the 10th National Assembly for the privileged enjoyed.
In his remark, Akpabio, who refused to let Umahi dig deep into his profile, said the Senator need not do that as his profile is already with the lawmakers having served in various positions.
Akpabio thereby asked the former Governor to take a bow and depart the session.
Umahi is the current senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District.
