Behold Tinubu’s 47 Ministers

Forty-seven men and women have been nominated by President Bola Tinubu to work with him to pilot the affairs of Nigeria.

After 59 days of earnestly waiting for the ministerial nominees list, the president’s Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, presented the first batch of the exalted list containing 28 names to the Senate. It was brought before Senate President Godswill Akpabio last Thursday.

The list was read to other distinguished senators by Akpabio on the floor of the chamber.

Also, the President on Wednesday forwarded a fresh list of 19 ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation bringing the total number of the incoming team to 47.

The North-West region of the country got 10 slots, while the South-West region, closely following, got 9 nominees.

Additionally, President Tinubu nominated eight people from North-Central and North-East regions, while the South-South and South-East regions got seven and five nominees respectively.

Out of the 47 nominees, nine women were appointed by the president. Three of the women are from South-East Nigeria while North-West and South-South regions have two female nominees each. He nominated one female each from North-Central and South-West regions while North-East did not get any female nominee.

North-West – 10
