Family Urges Sanwo-Olu To Rename LASU After Jakande

The family of the former Governor of Lagos State, Lateef Jakande, on Monday urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to rename the Lagos State University, Ojoo, after the late politician.

The demand was made by the son of the former governor, Seyi Jakande at the Lateef Jakande Annual Memorial Lecture, 2023, organised by the Nigerian Guild of Editors.

Seyi said LASU was the brain child of his late father.

“I want Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to revisit the discussion (of renaming LASU after Jakande),” Seyi said at the event held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.
