FCDA Destroys Popular Market In Abuja

Officials of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) on Monday stormed a popular Abuja market located in the Lugbe area of the city to pull it down.
The FCDA officials, accompanied by security operatives stormed the building material market to destroy it.
The market, though has been in operation for many years, is illegal and sits under electricity transmission lines.

As reported by Daily Trust, when newsmen visited the location, stall owners were frantically trying to save their wares from the revving engine of bulldozers brought to destroy the stalls.
It was reported that the marketers had been given notice of the planned demolition exercise over a period of time but ignored it.
