APC Chieftain Calls For Reversal Of Wike’s Confirmation As Minister Designate
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, on Wednesday asked the Senate to reverse the confirmation of former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, as minister.
Eze, who is a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) stated that Wike does not qualify to occupy the office.

Eze described the alleged refusal of President Bola Tinubu to pay heed to “reports and fact-filled opinions on the non-qualification of the former governor to hold public office in the country” as a disappointment.
He alleged that the European Union Election Observation Report for the 2023 election had singled out the former governor for indictment over his activities in the February and March elections.
“Such imposition at a time the country is struggling to redeem her electorally battered image and reclaim credibility within the international community is, to say the least, ridiculous,” he added.
