Isese Day: Oyo Declares Monday Public Holiday

The Oyo State Government has declared Monday August 21 as public holiday to celebrate Isese Day in the state.
The announcement was made on Friday by Governor Seyi Makinde, who approved August 20 for celebrating the annual festival in the state.

The governor made the declaration in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo.
The governor urged traditional worshippers in the state to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity and stability of the state in particular and the country in general.
