Lagos Apapa Port Shut, Commuters Stranded As NLC Enforces 2-Day Warning Strike

It’s day one of the 2-day warning strike declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress.

And already the impact is being felt in some states that are fully compliant while workers in some others have failed to comply with the directive.

In Lagos, state workers shunned the 2-day warning strike going about their normal duties.

Workers were however barred from accessing the premises of the Nigerian Ports Authority where Labour leaders converged in protest of the hardship brought on by the removal of petrol subsidy.

In the midst of these developments, the Mile 2 road experienced a standstill as vehicles refused to transport commuters, leading to disruptions in some offices in the Apapa area.
