PEPC: Lawyers, Journalists Turn Courtroom To Bedroom

As the Presidential Election Petition Court sits on Wednesday to deliver the judgment between President Bola Tinubu versus the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively, one would wonder if a sleeping gas was dropped in the court as the both lawyers and journalists turned the courtroom to a bedroom.
Considering the number and calibre of people that dozed off within the first three hours of the court session, one would think the PEPC had organised a sleep-a-thon to determine the winner of the auspicious case.
A sizable number of these set of people were caught on camera, reducing the tension of the judgment and bringing a comical side to it for Nigerians.
Nigerians have taken turn to mock those caught sleeping with hashtags like, “#AllEyesHaveDozedOff, #EyesAreNoLongerOnJudiciary, #ManyPeopleTookOffTheirEyes”, among many other funny captions to make light of the trending hashtag, “AllEyesOnTheJudiciary”.
Some of the notable persons caught sleeping include but not limited to: Mike Ozekhome, Festus Keyamo, Seun Okinbaloye of Channels TV, another journalist, Gbenga Arulegba.
National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, was also caught on camera taking a nap during the prooceedings
