Presidential Tribunal: We Are Satisfied With Judgement, Lagos APC
Congratulates President Tinubu
It was a joyful mood at the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja on Wednesday, as party leaders and members celebrated the victory of President Bola Tinubu as the Presidential Election Petition Court uphold his victory during the February 25 elections.
The party faithful who converged on the APC Secretariat as early as 7am to watch the live proceedings of the court, hailed the decisions of the Presidential Elections Petition Court to strike out the petitions of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and their presidential candidates against President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking to journalists at the party’s secretariat on Wednesday night, Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, described the judgment as satisfactory, noting that the integrity of President Buhari gave APC the edge in the tribunal.
He said: “We are glad and happy with the result. We are satisfied with the judgment. APC is not surprised because we diligently worked for this victory. President Bola Tinubu particularly worked hard in telling the people his intentions and plans for them when he becomes President. It also shows that integrity matters. The integrity of Asiwaju gave APC the edge in this matter, and we will keep at it.

“God intentionally brought Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at this time, and we believe he is here to make our lives better. We will still gather to celebrate this victory. There is no short cut to success except hard work. Asiwaju worked hard for this victory, and the party added few efforts to make the success even sweeter.”
Ojelabi, who commended the APC leaders and members for staying true to the party, urged them to continue to be steadfast.
He assured them rewards will come sooner than expected if they remain committed to the growth and development of the ruling party.
“Your government is coming on board. The commissioners to work with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be inaugurated in few days and work will start in earnest. Party members should also understand that reward for working for the party is gotten at the ward level, so you all should continue to be true and faithful to the party,” he said.
Reacting to the rejection of the tribunal ruling by the Labour Party, Ojelabi said “Labour Party’s rejection of the judgment is expected because of their expectations. But the judgment has proven that Nigerians really voted for the APC.”
