Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is sure that Victor Osimhen will stay longer in the club despite the ongoing fracas.
There are reports Osimhen could leave the club in January or next summer because he was mocked for missing a penalty in the club’s 0-0 draw against Bologna.
However, De Laurentiis poured cold water on such reports hinting that the player will remain at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
“Victor always strong. He is a player who makes a team on his own. He is not in question,” De Laurentiis told Chiringuito TV via Eurosport.
“Osimhen will renew the contract because the players here are happy, they only become sad when they leave.”
The 24-year-old has two years remaining on his contract.
