‘We Spent N5.5 Billion On BBNaija All Stars’ – Organisers

The organisers of the Big Brother Naija reality show has revealed that N5.5 billion was spent on the 7-day-long season 8 all-stars show.

The Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria, Dr. Busola Tejumola, made this revelation during the prize presentation to the winner of Big Brother Naija season 8, Ilebaye Odiniya in Ilupeju, Lagos State.

Giving a breakdown on how the huge amount was expended, he said it covered the cost of production, construction, fittings, technical, licensing, satellite, and marketing.

Tejumola also disclosed that about 2,000 people were employed during the 70 days to handle several tasks in relation to the production of the show.

He said, “As Africa’s most loved storyteller, we are proud to be part of creating opportunities for growth for the youth in their quest to build great futures.

“The Big Brother All Stars has been a Season of love, rekindled and new friendships, settling scores, comedic moments, fantastic showcase of talent and a battle for dominance.”

Recall that the All-Stars edition of the reality show premiered on July 23 with 21 housemates.

The show which lasted for 70 days, was full of twists and intrigues. Mercy, CeeC, Cross, Adekunle, Ilebaye and Pere were the finalists for the BBNaija All-Stars edition.

The All-Stars season included selected former housemates from Pepper Dem, Double Wahala, See Gobe and other editions.
