Born Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, Nigerian pop star, popularly known as Oladips ended his sojourn on earth on November 14, 2023, at the age of 28.

The late singer’s death was announced in a statement by his management, which suggested that he battled an undisclosed ailment for the past two years.

Here are six things to know about Oladips:
• The deceased was born in Ogun State on the 24th of March, 1995.

• Oladips who drew inspiration from the likes of 2face Idibia, 9ice, Olamide, D’banj, Reminisce, Lord of Ajasa and the late Dagrin, kicked off his music career with the first mic appearance on Successful (Drake ft. Trey Songz cover) when he was seventeen years old.

• He gained recognition after winning D’banj’s “King is here” competition, an award which earned him a record deal with Edge records label owned by Reminisce.

• The late singer had over 10 singles and three featured songs, which includes: Dreams and Realities, Bounce ft. Reminisce, Let Dagrin down, Rapture, amongst others.

• He had an estimated net worth of $50,000-$100,000.

• Oladips father died earlier in the year on February 13, 2023.
