Sanwo-Olu Vows To Apprehend Kidnappers Of Fouani Brothers
Kidnappers have sent a wrong signal to the State, Sanwo-Olu says
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu on Wednesday, assured Lagosians that the State government will do everything possible to apprehend those behind the kidnapping of the three Fouani brothers.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said that the kidnappers have sent a wrong signal to the State, stressing that the perpetrators of the abduction of the Labenese would face the wrath of the law.
Sanwo-Olu said, “We are on top of it, security operatives are combing everywhere, it is a top signal, Lagos will not condone it.”
The State Governor made this known during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, led by its African President, Rev.(Dr) Israel Akanji, at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

Governor Sanwo-Olu urged stakeholders in government to always play their role as expected of them, saying that they have a crucial role to play in government.
Speaking earlier, the president of the Nigerian Baptist Convention in Africa, Rev. (Dr) Israel Akanji, in his speech disclosed that the Baptist Convention for the year is scheduled for July 5, 2024 at Eko Hotels and Suites.
According to Akanji, Lagos was chosen as the venue of the annual gathering having considered Lagos as a peaceful State in the country.
Akanbi also commended the State Governor for the role he is playing to ensure relative peace in the state, just as he appreciated him for the palliative measure introduced by his administration to cushion the effect of hardship experienced by Nigerians as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy.
Reacting, Sanwo-olu said, it took a concerted effort to improve the security in the State, he also assured the leadership of the Baptist convention that, the state would do everything to ensure that the leaders of the church coming from across the globe to the state enjoys their stay.
He said the State shall give them security and financial assistance and make sure the visitors enjoy the charity of the State.
“We will support you so that your visitors have long lasting experience in Lagos.”
