While many attributes the cause of the collapse to the heavy rainfall that fell from Wednesday to Thursday, others say the location of the school close to the river, contributed to the collapse.
The scene of the collapsed school building has been filled with parents and loved ones crying and well-wishers praying for their children who are students at the school.
At the time of filling out this report, operatives of the police, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Red Cross, and local vigilantes were at the scene on a rescue mission.
Several casualties have been rushed to the Bingham University Teaching Hospital, popularly called Jan Kwano and OLA Hospital, for treatment.
