Mohbad’s One Year Remembrance
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly called Mohbad was a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born on January 3rd, 1996, in Lagos, Nigeria.
He rose to fame in the Nigerian music industry with his unique voice and style, blending Afrobeats, Fuji, and street-hop genres.
He was signed to Marlian Records, a label founded by popular Nigerian artiste Naira Marley. Mohbad released several hit songs, including “Feel Good”, “Ask About Me”, amongst several other songs. He collaborated with other prominent artistes, such as Naira Marley, Lil Kesh, Chike, Zlatan, and many others.
Tragically, Mohbad’s life was cut short when he died on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances. His death sparked an outpouring of tributes and condolences from fans, fellow artistes, and the music industry.
